What Are the Chances for “The Last of Us Part III”?
This year marks five years since the release of The Last of Us Part II. The game was highly praised by the industry, but not all players accepted the artistic choices made in it.
Despite that, the game was a massive success, and as early as 2021, Druckmann hinted that he might one day return to this world. He further fueled fans’ hopes in 2023 when he said there were still many stories to tell in this universe.
However, months have passed without any official news about The Last of Us Part III. And it seems that’s because the chances of a third installment are very slim.
Druckmann told Variety outright: I wouldn’t bet on it. It looks like this might be the end.
Of course, Naughty Dog fans won’t be left out in the cold. The studio announced some time ago that its next game will be Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, starring Tati Gabrielle in the lead role.
