What is “Fantastic Four: First Steps” about?
Set in a retro-futuristic world inspired by the 1960s, the story presents Marvel’s First Family — Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic (Pedro Pascal), Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman (Vanessa Kirby), Johnny Storm/The Human Torch (Joseph Quinn), and Ben Grimm/The Thing (Ebon Moss-Bachrach). The heroes face their most difficult challenge yet. Struggling to balance their superhero duties with the strength of family bonds, they must defend Earth against a ravenous cosmic god, Galactus (Ralph Ineson), and his enigmatic herald, the Silver Surfer (Julia Garner). The situation becomes even more dramatic when Galactus’s plan — to consume the entire planet and its inhabitants — takes on a deeply personal meaning for them.
