Having been in “Game of Thrones,” DC, “Star Wars,” and “The Last of Us,” is it time for the Marvel universe? If Pedro Pascal is indeed trying to win over all fandoms, a role in the “Fantastic Four” spectacle would fit beautifully into this strategy. The actor is reportedly in negotiations for the role of Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic in the upcoming Marvel Studios production.

Will Pedro Pascal join the MCU?

According to the latest information from Hollywood, the freshest candidate is Pedro Pascal. The actor is said to be in negotiations for a role as the leader of the famous superhero group.

Reportedly, both parties are still far from reaching a consensus. Discussions are ongoing, and a key aspect is reconciling tight schedules. Pascal has several major projects on the horizon, from “Gladiator 2” (filming is set to continue later this year) to the second season of “The Last of Us” (filming is expected to start in 2024).

Mr. Fantastic: who has played this character so far?

Mr. Fantastic, aka Reed Richards, is an outstanding scientist and the leader of the Fantastic Four. After exposure to cosmic radiation, his body gained extraordinary flexibility, allowing him to stretch like rubber.

So far, Alex Hyde-White (“The Fantastic Four” from 1994, which never officially made it to theaters), Ioan Gruffudd (“Fantastic Four” and “Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer”), and Miles Teller (“Fantastic Four” from 2015) have portrayed the character on the big screen. In the Marvel Studios production “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” fans’ speculated choice for Reed Richards, John Krasinski, played the role, but in an alternate reality. In the “main” Marvel universe, someone else is likely to play the character.
