Ahsoka Tano is undoubtedly one of the most popular Star Wars characters ever. Discovered by Jedi Master Plo Koon on her home planet of Shili, the Togruta was assigned to Anakin Skywalker as a padawan to train her due to her high Force Sensitivity. However, even Skywalker was initially not quite clear what a jewel he was allowed to know by his side.

Having already garnered the character he deserves in a number of Star Wars animated series, it was only fitting that Ahsoka, portrayed by Rosario Dawson, was finally allowed to break into the live-action realm. She’s appeared in the Disney+ series The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett, and now she’s finally getting her own miniseries. As part of the “Star Wars” celebration in London, the very first teaser trailer for “Ahsoka” was just unveiled:

Oh yes, the teaser trailer looks extremely coherent, dark, but above all adventurous and exciting. The countless new characters give “Ahsoka” exactly the “Star Wars” atmosphere that other projects unfortunately lack and the series could finally bring some really good lightsaber duels back to the screen after it has looked rather meager in this regard recently.

Ahsoka is slated to launch on Disney+ in 2023
As the stunning teaser trailer shows, countless other characters previously only seen in animated form will make their live-action debuts in Ahsoka. In addition to Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano, fans can look forward to Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla and Eman Esfandi as Ezra Bridger. It also debuts as a major antagonist, with Ahsoka’s nemesis Grand Admiral Mitth’raw’nuruodo, better known as Thrawn, whom she has been chasing for some time and touts as the “Heir to the Empire”.

Also part of the cast are Ray Stevenson and Ivanna Sakhno, both of whom are likely to be more on the dark side of the force, as the teaser trailer shows. As is already known, Hayden Christensen is also said to have a guest appearance, although it is not entirely clear in what form, after all the series takes place after “Star Wars: Episode VI”. Accordingly, looking back seems to be the most obvious solution to this supposed problem.

When exactly “Ahsoka” will be made available on Disney + is not yet certain, but it is known that the “Star Wars” series will be released in August 2023. So fans don’t have to wait too long anymore:
