“Harry Potter” Series Getting Closer. We Know When the Premiere on Max Platform Will Be

We know when Harry Potter will return – this time on the small screen. Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav announced when the premiere of the production, which will once again tell the story from J.K. Rowling’s books, is planned. The “Harry Potter” series is being prepared for release on the Max platform.

The “Harry Potter” series already has a premiere date.

David Zaslav, CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery, revealed when the premiere of the “Harry Potter” series on the Max platform is planned. The project is planned for seven seasons – each of them will be an adaptation of the next book from J.K. Rowling’s popular fantasy series.

“We’re not ashamed of our excitement about Harry Potter,” said Zaslav, noting that the last film in the series about the adventures of the young wizard was made over 12 years ago. He also revealed that a few weeks ago he met with J.K. Rowling, HBO and Max Chief Programming Officer Casey Bloys, and Channing Dungey, Warner Bros. Television’s director, to discuss the project.

“We spent a lot of time with J.K. and her team,” Zaslav revealed. “Both sides are thrilled at the opportunity to refresh this series. We’ve had great discussions and couldn’t be more excited about what’s coming. We can’t wait to share with fans around the world a decade of new stories.”

The series will tell Harry Potter’s story once again, with an entirely new cast. Daniel Radcliffe said in one interview that he “definitely isn’t striving” to appear in this production. For now, we don’t know who will be the showrunner or who will star in the series.

Zaslav revealed that the premiere is planned for 2026.

“In Brief”: We remind you of the film “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.”
