No Film: New “Indiana Jones” Adaptation in Progress – Revelation Coming Next Week

With the last “Indiana Jones” film, Harrison Ford has bid a final farewell to the role. However, it seems that we might soon see the iconic character in a different format.

Last year, “Indiana Jones and the Wheel of Fate” flickered across the cinema screens. One last time, Harrison Ford donned the fedora and whip, embarking on an extraordinary adventure. While the Harrison Ford era came to an end with the fifth film, fans are likely to continue receiving Indy content, as explained in an article by Comingsoon.net.

However, this doesn’t involve a feature film or the eagerly anticipated but unfortunately scrapped series for Disney+. Instead, in the near future, you can explore the world of archaeology yourself as the iconic adventurer. A new “Indiana Jones” video game is on the horizon, most likely titled “Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.”

Lucasfilm has recently secured eleven website domains with this title. In 2022, Lucasfilm registered the trademark “The Great Circle,” leading fans at that time to speculate that it might be related to a “Star Wars” game. While there is no official confirmation that the title is indeed for a video game, considering that the developer studio MachineGames is working on an Indy game, it’s safe to assume that this is the project in question.

Famous movies often receive video game adaptations, and conversely, some gaming heroes also make it to the big screen.

Revelation of the “Indiana Jones” game is imminent On MachineGames’ official X-Account, the development studio announced that the “Indiana Jones” game will be revealed during the upcoming Xbox Developer Direct. You can follow the approximately one-hour live event on January 18, 2024, starting at 9:00 PM, through the Twitch and YouTube channels of Xbox. Therefore, in about a week, we will find out if “Indiana Jones and the Great Circle” is indeed the video game by MachineGames. Additionally, we will see if the rumor regarding a planned release in 2024 holds true.

If you want to pass the time with the film adventures of Henry Jones, you can find all five “Indiana Jones” movies with Harrison Ford on Disney+. If you don’t have a subscription to the streaming service yet, you can secure your membership here. The series “The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles” is available on DVD at Amazon (but only in the original version).
