For Heidi Klum’s 50th birthday, ProSieben changed its program several times on Thursday and invited everyone to a big party. However, the audience stayed away from the celebrations and declined to take pictures with the Bergisch Gladbacherin.

Heidi Klum, thanks to “Germany’s Next Topmodel,” is one of ProSieben’s most prominent figures. Therefore, it’s not surprising that her home broadcaster made a big fuss for her milestone birthday. Program changes were made throughout Thursday, but the viewers were hesitant to join the supermodel in celebration.

The party kicked off at 9:00 a.m. with a repeat of a particularly successful makeover episode of “Germany’s Next Top Model.” Two more editions of the show followed until 5:00 p.m., but none of them managed to attract a significant audience. With only a little over four percent market share in the advertising-relevant target group of 14 to 49-year-olds, the ratings were disappointing. On average, there were even significantly fewer than the usual 100,000 fans in front of the television, as reported by DWDL. The evening didn’t bring any improvement either.

The birthday special for Heidi Klum also turned out to be a flop. Instead of airing “Galileo” after the regular editions of the magazines “Taff” and “Newstime,” ProSieben broadcasted a special show for Heidi Klum’s birthday. Unfortunately, it only achieved a market share of 6.5 percent and failed to impress. Only the latest edition of “Germany’s Next Topmodel” managed to garner better ratings in prime time, ending with a double-digit market share of 13 percent. This provided a somewhat forgiving end for Heidi Klum on ProSieben.

You can stream the ProSieben program on Joyn. The basic version is free, while the Joyn Plus+ option is available for 6.99 euros per month. There is a larger offer available, and you can sign up for a free 7-day trial membership here.
