As reported by Rolling Stone magazine, Selena Gomez will play the lead role in the biography of singer Linda Ronstadt. The film is currently in pre-production, with Ronstadt’s manager, John Boylan, and James Keach, known for the documentary “Linda Ronstadt: The Sound of My Voice,” among its producers.

Born in 1946, Ronstadt is a legend in country, rock and roll, and Latin music. The artist’s albums from the 70s, “Heart Like a Wheel” and “Simple Dreams,” achieved critical and commercial success, showcasing her versatility in various musical genres. Throughout her career, she won 11 Grammy Awards and received nominations for the Golden Globe and Tony. Her albums sold over 100 million copies. In 2011, she announced her retirement due to health problems, and three years later, she was invited to the prestigious Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
