Yesterday, at the CinemaCon industry conference in Las Vegas, Universal Studios held a presentation. During it, a declaration was made regarding the continuation of the horror movie “Five Nights At Freddy’s.”
Sequel to the horror movie “Five Nights At Freddy’s” next year
“Five Nights At Freddy’s” was produced for Universal by Blumhouse Studios. The film turned out to be a huge box office success (despite simultaneous release on the Peacock platform in America): with an estimated budget of $20 million, it grossed nearly $300 million worldwide.
So, it’s no wonder that “Five Nights At Freddy’s 2” is in the works. Now we know roughly when to expect its release. Jim Orr, responsible for theatrical distribution in the American market, declared that the sequel will premiere in the fall of 2025.
“Five Nights At Freddy’s” premiered before Halloween 2023. Therefore, it’s very likely that Universal will aim for a similar date for the sequel.

The horror movie “Five Nights At Freddy’s” is inspired by the popular video game series “Five Nights at Freddy’s.” The protagonist is a desperate man (Josh Hutcherson) who starts working at the closed Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. The night shift is not as peaceful as he initially thinks.
Behind the camera is Emma Tammi, who co-wrote the script with the original virtual creator, Scott Cawthon. Jim Henson’s Creature Shop was also involved in the production, bringing the animatronic characters from the original to life on screen. The company has already teased online that they are preparing new attractions for the sequel.
