Is this an attempt to appease the Prime Minister? The leader of the National Rally (Rassemblement National) deputies, Marine Le Pen, arrived at Matignon on Friday morning for her meeting with Sébastien Lecornu. While Jordan Bardella wasn’t with her, a more unusual guest was at her side: a baby cat.
The elected official got out of her car and crossed part of the Matignon courtyard, trying to hide a cat carrier behind her back, journalists on the scene noted.
“He’s not leaving her side”
“It’s a baby cat from a litter that was just born at her house. This little cat can’t feed itself and needs to be fed or it will die. She decided to save it. It’s not leaving her side,” a close friend told AFP.
Marine Le Pen, a feline enthusiast who likes to call herself a “cat mother” according to Le Parisien, has even obtained a breeder’s diploma.
