After nearly 40 years, Kevin Costner is getting a new voice actor—just in time for the release of his epic film series “Horizon.”
This summer, the premiere of “Horizon,” the first part of a four-part Western saga by and starring Kevin Costner (“Dances with Wolves”), awaits you. However, in Germany, this monumental project comes with a change that may require some adjustment for viewers.
As announced by the film distributor TOBIS in a press release, Kevin Costner will have a new German voice actor in “Horizon.” Since the 1985 road movie “Fandango,” Frank Glaubrecht has been the German voice of Kevin Costner. Over the course of more than 45 works, the voice actor has lent his voice to the Hollywood legend, but now a successor has been chosen.
The name of Kevin Costner’s new voice actor is Bernd Vollbrecht. The 70-year-old is known as the German voice of Antonio Banderas (“The Skin I Live In”), Greg Kinnear (“House of Cards”), Jeffrey Dean Morgan (“Supernatural”), and Peter Capaldi (“Doctor Who”). Bernd Vollbrecht will voice Kevin Costner in all four planned “Horizon” films.
In light of the upcoming film premiere of “Horizon” on August 22, 2024, we had the opportunity to interview Kevin Costner.
