Holidays are a time of hope, and Ewan McGregor has just given us that. The actor is convinced that he will return to the “Star Wars” universe and once again portray Obi-Wan Kenobi. But has anyone contacted him about it yet?

In a recent interview, McGregor once again spoke about what it was like when he had to keep the fact that a standalone series about Obi-Wan Kenobi was in the works a secret. But now it’s a different story.
The truth is, for years I’ve been saying that I had to hide my role in the “Obi-Wan Kenobi” series, I had to lie about it. But now I’m not lying anymore.

And he added, as they say, quite frankly:
There was no call from Lucasfilm or Disney, no one said, “Let’s do another one.” “Obi-Wan” was created as a limited series and was well received by viewers, which I’m very, very happy about.
To offer some consolation, however, he said something like this:
I hope we’ll have a chance to shoot another one. I’m certain it will happen. I still have a few years before I’m the same age as Alec Guinness in “A New Hope.” So there’s time to tell more.
