From the rain to under the eaves? Angela Bassett swaps MCU for Star Wars

Daniel Richtman doesn’t disappoint and has another juicy rumor for fans. This one involves the well-known Marvel performer Angela Bassett.

Angela Bassett heading to Star Wars?

Richtman claims that Angela Bassett recently met with representatives from Lucasfilm. The topic of discussion was, of course, her involvement in one of the projects from the Star Wars universe.

Unfortunately, Richtman doesn’t know (or doesn’t want to say yet) which Star Wars project it might be. And there are quite a few of them.

As officially confirmed, the first full-length film since “Skywalker. Rebirth” will be “The Mandalorian & Grogu,” which is a full-length continuation of the “Mandalorian” series. Its premiere is planned for May 2026.

However, there are many other films in the works. One is to be a continuation of Rey’s adventures. Taika Waititi is working on another. James Mangold is reportedly working on one as well. Dave Filoni is also set to direct a spectacle that will tie together the serial productions. Lando is supposed to be the hero of a film. Shawn Levy is also reportedly working on something. And long ago, Rian Johnson promised an entire trilogy.

Of course, it’s possible that Bassett may not appear in a film at all, as Lucasfilm may want to engage her in one of the many series being produced for Disney+.

Angela Bassett is involved with Disney on many fronts. In Marvel, she appeared as Queen Ramonda in the spectacles “Black Panther,” “Avengers: Endgame,” and “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.” She is also one of the stars of the series “9-1-1,” which is currently airing on ABC, a Disney-owned network.
