Harrison Ford will not appear at the 2025 Academy Awards
It appears that 82-year-old Harrison Ford may have contracted shingles during last week’s SAG Awards ceremony, where a humorous moment involving him occurred during Jessica Williams’ speech. During the “I Am An Actor” segment, which aims to promote young stars, Jessica Williams was introducing herself, while in the background, Ford was seen snacking on biscuits.
When Williams noticed, a playful exchange took place between them. Both actors starred in this year’s series Shrinking, and the video suggests they developed a friendly bond on set.
Shingles is caused by the same virus as chickenpox and leads to a painful rash. It is highly contagious but not dangerous to overall health. It is a reactivation of the chickenpox virus, which remains in the body for life, which is why older individuals are advised to get a booster vaccine.
2025 Oscars without Harrison Ford
Aside from Ford, this year’s Oscar presenters will include Dave Bautista, Gal Gadot, Andrew Garfield, Samuel L. Jackson, Margaret Qualley, Alba Rohrwacher, Zoe Saldaña, and Rachel Zegler.
The 97th Academy Awards ceremony, hosted by Conan O’Brien, will take place overnight from Sunday to Monday (Polish time), with the broadcast starting 30 minutes past midnight.
