Sony has released a new trailer for Gran Turismo, and the film will hit theaters in August.
“Gran Turismo” is not an ordinary game adaptation. Although the starting point for the creation of the film was the “Gran Turismo” brand, we are not dealing with a typical adaptation here. The plot is inspired by real events and will tell the story of a young player who gets a chance to race for real.
Archie Madekwe, known from the series “See,” played the main role, and he is partnered with Orlando Bloom and David Harbour.
The whole thing was directed by Neill Blomkamp, who recently made mainly short films with a break for the independent horror “Demonic.”
“Gran Turismo” is a racing simulator created in 1997 by Kazunori Yamauchi of Polyphony Digital. Since then, the game has seen several new versions.
