Heidi Klum celebrated the "HeidiFest" in Munich

Heidi Klum celebrated a lavish Oktoberfest party with numerous stars at Munich’s Hofbräuhaus – broadcast live on ProSieben. At least, that’s what one on-screen message said, although many viewers had legitimate doubts about it.

At the tapping of the keg at Munich’s Hofbräuhaus, Heidi Klum briefly stood in a shower of beer, looking offended. But that was also part of the lavish pre-Wiesn party that Heidi Klum had planned shortly before the start of Oktoberfest on Thursday evening. Roberto Blanco, Jürgen Drews, Marianne and Michael, and numerous other stars from music and show business accepted the GNTM boss’s invitation to the Bavarian capital.

ProSieben had advertised the “HeidiFest” in advance as a live show – and so the broadcast was also indicated by a on-screen message starting at 8:15 p.m. It didn’t take long, however, for the first viewers to notice a discrepancy between the TV image broadcast from Munich and the view out the window. “It’s 8:42 p.m. where I’m watching, and ProSieben has put ‘Live’ on the screen. Strange that it’s dark outside where I am and still light in Munich,” wrote one irritated fan on Facebook. He wasn’t the only one.

Viewer sneer: “Ah, so everything’s ‘live’ where you guys are.”
“So it’s still light outside in Munich at 8/9 p.m.? Interesting. The show can’t be that live,” another commented. This user echoed this sentiment: “That can’t possibly be live! It’s dark everywhere at 8:30 p.m., and people are looking out the windows in the light!” – “Why is ‘Live’ displayed in bold when it’s just a recording?” complained another viewer.

On its official Facebook account, ProSieben didn’t fail to respond to the objection. “It’s live on tape,” the broadcaster wrote. “Meaning: it really happened, just with a slight time shift. No trick!” However, the explanation didn’t sound particularly convincing to some users. “Ah, so everything’s ‘live’ with you,” one person commented sarcastically. Others left laugh emojis on the broadcaster’s statement.

Mixed fan reactions to the first “HeidiFest”
After the welcome on the red carpet, the journalists accredited for the “HeidiFest” were asked to leave the Hofbräuhaus shortly before 6 p.m. Recording likely began shortly thereafter – and thus before sunset in Munich.

The audience’s further reactions to the show, by the way, offer a mixed conclusion. Opinions range from “Could you please do this more often” and “Such a great party” to “Such a bad playback show.” Heidi Klum polarizes – and this seems to be no different with her first folksy “live on tape” show.
