With box office receipts of over $750 million, Wicked has become one of the biggest and most successful fantasy films of 2024. The story of the witches Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo) and Glinda (Ariana Grande), based on the famous Broadway musical and the novel by Gregory Maguire, captivated many with its epic visual power and captivating voices.
About a year later, the story will be told to its conclusion on the big screen. The grand finale, Wicked: Part 2, will be released in theaters in a few weeks.

Wicked tells the story of the witch Elphaba, admitted with her sister to the Shiz School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in Oz. She shares a room with Glinda, a popular student who, at first, isn’t at all impressed by her new roommate, who she considers an outsider. But the two women, so different, gradually grow closer, while Elphaba’s powers attract the attention of the Wizard of Oz (Jeff Goldblum), who immediately invites her to his Emerald City.
Once there, Elphaba and Glinda realize that the wizard is an imposter seeking to exploit Elphaba’s powers, which are far superior to her own. At the end of Wicked, Elphaba ends up fleeing the Emerald City
