New Faces in the Fourth Season of “The Boys”
In the fourth season of “The Boys,” we will see a range of new characters. Rosemarie DeWitt, known from films like “Your Sister’s Sister” and “Rachel Getting Married,” will portray Hughie’s mother. In the role of Hugh Campbell Senior, the father, Simon Pegg, well-known from previous seasons, will, of course, make a return. The absent mother of the hero has been mentioned before, but so far, she has not appeared on screen.
Rob Benedict is another actor from the series “Supernatural” whom we will see in “The Boys.” Jensen Ackles (as Soldier Boy) and Jim Beaver (as Secretary of Defense Robert Singer) have already appeared in the Prime Video production. In the fourth season, Jeffrey Dean Morgan will also make an appearance. Eric Kripke, the creator of “Supernatural,” is, of course, the showrunner for “The Boys.” However, Benedict’s role is currently unknown.
What is the “The Boys” series about?
“The Boys” is an adaptation of the comic created by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson. The series follows a group of self-proclaimed justice defenders who oppose superheroes abusing their powers. So far, three seasons have been produced, with the latest one concluding in July.
The cast of the series includes Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Jack Quaid, Karl Urban, Karen Fukuhara, Laz Alonso, Tomer Capon, Dominique McElligott, Chace Crawford, Jessie T. Usher, and Jensen Ackles.
