Marvel Director Clarifies: ‘Ant-Man 3’ Will Be as Epic as an ‘Avengers’ Film

A Tiny Hero Emerges from the Giant Shadow of the Avengers. The Director States that ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania‘ Will Be as Epic as an ‘Avengers’ Movie.

The ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ was Released in 2015 and Offered Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) Fans the Second Joint Appearance of the Avengers. This was Followed by the Smaller Film, ‘Ant-Man,’ Which Took Us Back to More Down-to-Earth Realms. The ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’ Sequel Also Followed an ‘Avengers’ Movie, ‘Avengers: Infinity War.

Now, Scott Lang (Paul Rudd), aka Ant-Man, is Embarking on an Adventure that Doesn’t Have to Hide Behind Any ‘Avengers’ Movie. In an Interview with Total Film (via ComicBook.com), ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ Director Peyton Reed Made Some Bold Statements About the Little Hero’s Third Adventure:

“I Thought, ‘You Know What? Being a Nightcap is Great, That’s What You’d Expect from an ‘Ant-Man’ Movie. But I Don’t Want to Be a Nightcap, I Want to Be the Big ‘Avengers’ Movie That Someone Else Follows with a Nightcap. And We All Liked That Idea. It Felt Like a Natural, Organic Evolution for the ‘Ant-Man’ Movies… I Really Wanted to Create on a Much Larger Canvas for This Film.”

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” Introduces a New Villain to the Marvel Cinematic Universe

Although ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ Does Not Have the Large Ensemble of Superheroes like an ‘Avengers’ Film, It Does Introduce the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s New Villain: Kang the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors). Although Jonathan Majors Was Previously Seen on the ‘Loki’ Series, He Portrayed the Character ‘He Who Remains,’ an Alternate Version of Kang the Conqueror. So, The Version We’ll See in the Upcoming ‘Ant-Man’ Movie Will Truly Demonstrate What Thanos’ (Josh Brolin) Successor Can Do for the First Time.

How Exactly This New Villain Will Appear Will Be Revealed on February 15, 2023, When ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ Begins Showing in Cinemas. Until Then, You Can Re-watch the First Two ‘Ant-Man’ Films on Disney+. If You Don’t Have a Subscription to the Streaming Service Yet, You Can Get Your Membership Here.
