“Star Wars: The Acolyte” – Disney+ premiere date revealed. First trailer tomorrow

Another series from the “Star Wars” universe, “The Acolyte,” is heading to Disney+. The platform has just revealed its premiere date and also unveiled the first poster.

“The Acolyte”: When is the premiere?

The first episode of “The Acolyte” will debut on Disney+ on June 4. According to “Forbes” magazine, it is set to be one of the most expensive productions from the entire “Star Wars” world, with a pre-production budget of nearly $50 million.

“The Acolyte” – What do we know about the series?

“The Acolyte” is set to be a thriller that takes viewers to a galaxy of dark secrets and the emerging power of the Dark Side in the final days of the High Republic. A former Padawan joins forces with her Jedi Master to investigate a series of crimes. However, the forces they will face are much more sinister than they expected.

The star of the series is Amandla Stenberg (“Bodies Bodies Bodies”). The cast of “The Acolyte” also includes Dafne Keen (“Logan: Wolverine”, “His Dark Materials”), Carrie-Anne Moss (“The Matrix Resurrections”), Lee Jung-jae (“Squid Game”), Manny Jacinto (“Top Gun: Maverick”), Jodie Turner-Smith (“Queen & Slim”), Rebecca Henderson (“Who Is Anna?”), Charlie Barnett (“Russian Doll”), and Dean-Charles Chapman (“1917”).

The showrunner of the series is Leslye Headland (“Russian Doll”, “Sleeping with Other People”). She will also direct the first episode.
