It looks like “TRON: Ares” may turn out to be an expensive failure for Disney. According to a new report by Deadline, the film’s budget was not small — originally reported at around US $170–180 million, but now raised to US $220 million. Meanwhile, box-office returns are predicted to stall at around US $160 million (so far US $103 million, of which US $54.6 million is from the U.S. market). If this holds true, the loss would be a staggering US $132.7 million.
