Vision Gets His Own Series. The Creator of “Star Trek: Picard” at the Helm

The creator of the award-winning series “Star Trek: Picard” has received a new task from Marvel. Terry Matalas is set to develop a series about Vision (played by Paul Bettany, of course). The project doesn’t have a title yet, but it’s known that it will premiere on Disney+ in 2026.

Marvel Is Not Giving Up on Vision Despite His Death

Keen Marvel viewers remember that Vision was killed by Thanos in the 2018 film “Avengers: Infinity War.” Despite this, he appeared on screen twice more – in the series “WandaVision,” where Wanda’s love (Elizabeth Olsen) brought him back to life, and then as a white android. The new series’ storyline is set after these events, with Ghost Vision discovering his new purpose in life.

Initially, the Vision series was being developed by the creator of “WandaVision” – Jac Schaeffer, who eventually took on the realization of the spin-off series titled “Agatha All Along.” Its protagonist is the powerful witch Agatha Harkness, played by Kathryn Hahn.

Vision – The Marvel Hero. Where Have We Seen Him?

Vision is a superhero, android, and member of the Avengers. In the comics, he is created by Ultron. In the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) films, he is created from the artificial intelligence system J.A.R.V.I.S. by Tony Stark and Bruce Banner, then placed in a synthetic body built by Ultron and powered by the Mind Stone, one of the Infinity Stones. Both versions of the character fall in love with Wanda Maximoff. He appears in films such as “Avengers: Age of Ultron” (2015), “Captain America: Civil War” (2016), and “Avengers: Infinity War” (2018), where he is portrayed by Paul Bettany.
