What do we know about “Sister Act 3”?
In the video she shared, Whoopi Goldberg hinted that the action of the third installment of the series will take place in the Vatican.
Imagine “Sister Act” and all the sisters standing here, waiting for the Pope to come out – she said, pointing to St. Peter’s Square. Perhaps this will happen in the new movie. We don’t know for sure. It’s never certain, but we are now in Rome, in the Vatican. What can we do here? Why did I come here? We will find out soon.
Details about the plot of “Sister Act 3,” the third part of the “Sister Act” series, are not yet known. The film is currently in the pre-production stage. The screenplay is a collaborative effort by Karin Gist (“Mixed-ish”), Regina Y. Hicks (“Insecure”), and Madhuri Shekar (“Nietzchka Keene”). Tim Federle (“Better Nate Than Ever”) will direct the film. In addition to Whoopi Goldberg, who will reprise her role as Deloris, the cast will include Keke Palmer, Wendy Makkena, Kathy Najimy, and Jenifer Lewis. The film is likely not headed for theatrical distribution and will be available on the Disney+ streaming platform.
