In a few days, the new season of “Rick and Morty” will premiere. Its creator, Dan Harmon, recently gave an interview to The Hollywood Reporter. In it, he talked about the chances of a full-length movie.
It turns out that Zack Snyder is a huge fan of the “Rick and Morty” series. He even invited Harmon to the Warner Bros. offices to discuss the possibility of making a full-length film.
In the interview, Harmon jokingly said that the film would be made as soon as Zack Snyder returns from vacation because he wants to see what the “Snyder Cut” of a Rick and Morty movie would look like, and then there would be a six-hour director’s cut, with three hours in black and white.
Seriously, Dan Harmon admitted that there is interest at Warner Bros. in making a full-length animated film. The creator of the series would like the potential film to be created while “Rick and Morty” is still running.
In his opinion, the best solution would be to work on it as if it were just an episode of the series, but with a higher budget and a 90-minute duration.
There is a chance that his dream will come true, as “Rick and Morty” is planned for many more seasons. Two of them already have almost completed scripts.
