The cast of the third installment of Paddington Bear‘s adventures promises to be more and more star-studded. Olivia Colman (Empire of Light), Antonio Banderas (Uncharted), Rachel Zegler (West Side Story), and Emily Mortimer (Chasing Love) are in talks to appear in the film titled “Paddington in Peru.”
What will “Paddington in Peru” be about?
The film will tell the story of Paddington traveling to Peru to visit his beloved Aunt Lucy, who now lives in a retirement home for bears. Paddington and the Brown family embark on an unexpected journey from the Amazon rainforest to the mountain peaks of Peru.
Emily Mortimer will take on the role of Mary Brown, previously played by Sally Hawkins. Meanwhile, Colman’s character will be running the retirement home for bears.
The film also stars Hugh Bonneville, Julie Walters, Jim Broadbent, Madeleine Harris, and Samuel Joslin. Ben Whishaw will once again voice the title character, and Imelda Staunton will lend her voice to Aunt Lucy.
Dougal Wilson will make his feature directorial debut with this film, having previously worked as a creator of commercials and music videos. Notably, he directed the music video for Benny Benassi’s “Satisfaction.”

The Paddington movies are based on the book series by Michael Bond. The first installment grossed almost $270 million worldwide, with a budget of $55 million. The second film performed slightly worse, earning just under $230 million.
