The nightmare is not over yet. The series “From There”, one of the surprising hits on the HBO Max platform, will have a third season. MGM+ gave the green light to the production.
“From There” – Stephen King plus “Lost”. What is the series about?
“From There” is a story about a small provincial town in America, which becomes a death trap for all visitors. Unable to leave its borders, the heroes build a small community. They live in fear of the monsters that come out after dark, and in fear of the ancient evil lurking in the surrounding forests.
The biggest star of the series is Harold Perrineau (“Lost”, “Sons of Anarchy”). The actor plays the role of Sheriff Boyd, who tries his best to protect the inhabitants from death. The cast also includes Catalina Sandino Moreno, Eion Bailey, Hannah Cheramy, Simon Webster, Ricky He, Chloe Van Landschoot, Corteon Moore, Pegah Ghafoori, David Alpay and Elizabeth Saunders.
The series is created by John Griffin, with Jack Bender directing most of the episodes, and Jeff Pinker, who worked on Lost, serving as showrunner. Interestingly, it is the second most watched MGM+ (formerly Epix) series in history after “The Godfather of Harlem”. The new season is expected to be ready in 2024.
Who is Harold Perrineau?
The actor who plays Sheriff Boyd, Harold Perrineau, is a seasoned veteran of the TV and film industry. He started his career with an episode in Alan Parker’s “Sława”. in “Smoke” by Wayne Wang and “Romeo and Juliet” by Baz Luhrmann, as well as “The Matrix: Reloaded”. The real fame, however, brought him series – “Lost”, “Oz”, “Sons of Anarchy”, or recently “Claws”.
