The next installment of the adventures of one of the most recognizable heroes of all time, Indiana Jones, premieres tomorrow! “Indiana Jones and the Artifact of Destiny,” directed this time by James Mangold, serves as the fifth film in the series, featuring the irreplaceable Harrison Ford as the titular adventurer.

In this chapter, Indy (Harrison Ford), beloved by viewers worldwide, attempts to retire and finally find some rest from the trials of life. However, an unexpected visit from his goddaughter (Phoebe Waller-Bridge, “Fleabag”) hinders his plans. Together, they will confront Jurgen Voller (Mads Mikkelsen, “Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore”), a former Nazi and esteemed scientist from the American space program. In their quest for a device that predicts time rifts, they will encounter plenty of emotions, surprising twists, and a distinctive sense of humor. Thus, the leather jacket, fedora, whip, and revolver will have to wait until they retire to the closet for good.

In addition to the aforementioned trio, the film features Antonio Banderas (“Pain and Glory”) as Renaldo, John Rhys-Davies (“Raiders of the Lost Ark”) as Sallah, Shaunette Renee Wilson (“Black Panther”) as Agent Mason, Thomas Kretschmann (“Das Boot”) as Colonel Weber, Toby Jones (“Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom”) as Basil Shaw, Boyd Holbrook (“Logan”) as Klaber, Olivier Richters (“Black Widow”) as Hauke, and Ethann Isidore (“Mortals”) as Teddy.

James Mangold (“Le Mans ’66”, “Logan”) directed the film, with Kathleen Kennedy, Frank Marshall, and Simon Emanuel producing, while Steven Spielberg and George Lucas serve as executive producers. The indelible John Williams, known for composing the music for all of Indy’s adventures, also contributed to the score.

“Indiana Jones and the Artifact of Destiny” marks the fifth installment in the series of thrilling adventure films featuring the indomitable archaeologist. The previous four films, directed by Steven Spielberg, were released in 1981 (“Raiders of the Lost Ark”), 1984 (“Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom”), 1989 (“Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade”), and 2008 (“Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull”).
