Jonathan Majors, former Marvel star, hasn’t yet heard his sentence in the assault case involving his partner Grace Jabbari, but he’s already gearing up for another court appearance. The actor has been sued.
Jonathan Majors vs. Grace Jabbari – Round 2
In December 2023, Jonathan Majors was found guilty in the criminal case of assaulting his former partner Grace Jabbari. The actor is still awaiting sentencing.
However, Majors continues to maintain his innocence. In an interview with “Good Morning America,” he claimed to be the victim of a woman who was experiencing an emotional breakdown.
Jabbari had enough and filed a civil lawsuit on Tuesday in a federal court in New York. She accuses the actor of physical and emotional violence as well as defamation.
In the filed lawsuit, she describes numerous instances of assault that occurred since the beginning of her relationship with the Marvel star in 2021. Jabbari recounts in the lawsuit how Majors flew into a rage when he found out she had reported instances of his violent behavior to his agents. She also mentions that after one of the incidents, when Jabbari wanted to go to the hospital, Majors threatened suicide.
The actor’s former partner also believes that he defamed her in the “Good Morning America” interview.
Majors’ lawyer stated in a special statement that they anticipated a civil lawsuit and that they are preparing their own civil lawsuit against Jabbari.
Jonathan Majors and Grace Jabbari met on the set of the Marvel production “Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania,” where she was his trainer.
