“The Fantastic Four” from the MCU: Is the star of “The Bear” going to portray The Thing?

Ebon Moss-Bachrach (“The Bear”, “The Punisher”) will star in the new “Fantastic Four” – it’s almost certain. But will he play Ben Grimm/The Thing? The fans are relentless and the studio…can bend.

Ebon Moss-Bachrach as The Thing? What do we know about the cast of “Fantastic Four”?

The host of The Hot Mic podcast and specialist in Hollywood leaks, Jeff Sneider, made a rhetorical loop in the latest episode and again maintains that – most likely in response to the enthusiastic reaction of fans – the actor will play Ben Grimm. Of course, this is not confirmed information, so we will have to wait for the official version.

Sneider says there’s a 95 percent chance Vanessa Kirby will play Sue Storm/Invisible Woman. The journalist added that she is to be the de facto main character of the film. Sneider also reports that – with a lower 80 percent chance – Joseph Quinn will star in the film as Johnny Storm/Human Torch, Sue’s younger brother.

It is also possible that Bachrach will play the role of the Silver Surfer. The villain of the film is supposed to be his master, Galactus. Sneider claims that in this role we will see an actor of Latin origin (some time ago it was rumored that it might be Antonio Banderas).

At this time, Marvel has not chosen the role of Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic. According to Sneider, Adam Driver turned down the role dissatisfied with the script. The journalist also excludes the possibility that the role would go to Matt Smith. However, there is a chance that Smith will appear in the film as Doctor Doom.

“Fantastic Four” is scheduled to premiere on February 14, 2025. Matt Shakman (“WandaVision”) is directing.

The upcoming Marvel Studios movie is Marvels. Watch its trailer:
