Unlike “Game of Thrones,” the director of “Stranger Things” promises an epic finale for the Netflix hit

We’ll need to wait for a while for the final season of “Stranger Things,” but those involved in the Netflix series are already assuring us of an epic and emotionally touching conclusion.

Although both the screenwriters and the actors are refraining from giving interviews due to the ongoing strikes, the directors are still engaging with various media representatives to discuss their upcoming projects. This includes Dan Trachtenberg, who recently shared a few words about the fifth and ultimate season of “Stranger Things” in an interview with Variety.

For “Stranger Things” Season 5, in addition to the series creators Matt and Ross Duffer, two other film and series creators have been brought on board to direct certain episodes. These individuals are Shawn Levy, the director of “Deadpool 3,” and Dan Trachtenberg, who has been responsible for films such as “10 Cloverfield Lane” and “Prey,” as well as individual episodes of the series “Black Mirror” and “The Boys” in recent years. The latter gentleman revealed what viewers can anticipate from the episode he directed:

“I read my episode and I prepared the episode before the strike. I can tell you that it’s exceptional. […] The Duffer brothers are amazing and we share a lot in common. Given that this is the final season, and having heard a little about the type of episode I could work on, I was thrilled. I don’t believe ‘Stranger Things’ falls into the same category as shows like ‘Game of Thrones,’ where the beginning is strong, followed by a slowdown, and the last two episodes present the major battle. I can tell you – and I refer to previous seasons – that there’s excitement throughout the entire season.”

“Stranger Things” stands as one of the most-watched series on Netflix.

David Harbor on the final season of Stranger Things Several stars from “Stranger Things” have already commented on the culmination of this mystery series. Millie Bobby Brown shared with Women’s Wear Daily that she feels extremely grateful, yet she’s ready to bid farewell to the series and embrace new challenges.

David Harbour, the actor who portrays Hopper, also discussed the final season before the strikes on the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast and disclosed what fans can eagerly anticipate:

“Before the strikes, we received scripts. They are excellent – as always. The Duffer brothers, now recognized as the writers on strike, continue to surpass themselves. It’s an immensely ambitious endeavor. The set pieces and elements within the scripts that we’ve seen are grander than anything we’ve tackled before.”

The 48-year-old actor then expanded on his thoughts:

“I’m pleased to be returning. I’m looking forward to concluding it in a bold manner. I’m excited to truly delve into this character because you know the creators are going to give these characters – Eleven, Hopper, Joyce, Will, Mike – a triumphant conclusion. They will provide them with an illustrious conclusion since they’ve been with you for the past eight years.”

As for when the final season of “Stranger Things” will premiere on Netflix, it remains uncertain. With production still on hold due to the ongoing strikes in Hollywood, patience may be required for a while. In the interim, alongside the earlier seasons of the mystery series, you can enjoy numerous other Netflix highlights with the Sky Q combo package.
